Days left excludes today and counts through December 31. The live clock separately counts to January 1.
Does days left include today?
No. It counts dates after today through December 31. Days passed includes today, so days left plus days passed equals the total days in the year.
Why is the clock different?
The live clock measures exact time until January 1. Complete 24-hour periods can differ from a count of calendar dates, especially around daylight saving changes.
How are leap years handled?
A common year has 365 days and a leap year has 366. Century years must be divisible by 400 to be leap years. For example, 2028 is a leap year and 2100 is not.
